And while I don’t necessarily measure success by how much money I make, I now earn more than THREE TIMES what I made working as an engineer. But the BEST part? The time freedom. Being able to work for myself, make my own schedule, drop my kids off at school, pick them up, and actually be PRESENT with them. I wouldn’t trade that flexibility for ANY amount of money. And I truly don’t believe I would’ve gotten here without consistency, hard work, and making intentional time for myself every morning. This ice-cream is unbelievable, and so is the fact that raw dairy is completely illegal? 😂 Before getting into how I overcome my intolerance and supermarket ice-creams to compare with, this recipe is wildly EASY, extremely nourishing and our current complete obsession. Yes. I use raw dairy. For good reason (just listen to the vid to find out why), but if you can’t access it - you can use what you’ve got 🤎. A snapshot into how I overcome my intolerance: removing trigger foods, boosting beneficial bacteria via fermented foods and specific probiotics, enhance zinc consumption to heal my gut lining and boost enzyme production (I use Wild Zinc), cleared microbial infections confirmed via testing, time, patience and consistency. I began with ghee, then moved to fermented goats dairy, and now enjoy RAW CREAM 🥹. And here’s why I make my own ice-cream, beyond the fact that I can use raw cream… here are the ingredients to some of the most popular supermarket ice-creams: Peters Original Vanilla: Water, reconstituted skim milk, milk solids, sugar, glucose syrup, vegetable oil and/or cream/butter, maltodextrin, emulsifiers (477, 471), flavours and vegetable gum (412). Streets Blue Ribbon Classic Vanilla: Reconstituted buttermilk, cream, milk solids, glucose, sugar, vegetable oils, emulsifiers, guar gum, tara gum, locust bean gum, carrageenan, flavours, colour, maltodextrin and salt. Bulla Creamy Classics Vanilla: Milk, cream, sugar, water, maltodextrin, milk solids, emulsifier (471), guar gum, carrageenan, flavour and colour. How gorgeous? Ordet är nuvaro. Jag skulle beskriva nuvaro som tillståndet av att vara helt och fullt i det innevarande ögonblicket, utan att vara upptagen av det som varit eller det som ännu inte har hänt. En möjlig ordboksdefinition skulle kunna vara: nuvaro, substantiv Tillstånd av att vara helt uppmärksam på och förankrad i det innevarande ögonblicket, utan upptagenhet av det förflutna eller framtiden. Ordet är för mig bildat av nu + varo, och har en naturlig släktskap med ord som närvaro, frånvaro och tillvaro. Det finns förstås redan ordet närvaro, men jag upplever att nuvaro beskriver någonting mer specifikt. Den enklaste formuleringen jag har hittat är: Närvaro handlar om var du är. Nuvaro handlar om när du är. En människa kan vara närvarande fysiskt på plats, lyssnande och tillgänglig men samtidigt vara helt upptagen av någonting som hände igår eller någonting som kanske händer imorgon. I nuvaro finns, som jag ser det, endast det innevarande ögonblicket. Min egen väg till ordet kommer bland annat från meditation och musik. Jag har mediterat dagligen sedan 2019 och har genom åren blivit alltmer intresserad av vad som händer när tankarna på det förflutna och framtiden för en stund tystnar. Jag känner igen tillståndet allra tydligast i mitt skapande. Ibland när jag skriver musik försvinner tankarna på om någonting är bra eller dåligt, vad andra kommer att tycka eller vad resultatet ska bli. Självkritiken och behovet av att kontrollera hinner inte riktigt in. Jag försöker inte längre skapa, jag bara skapar. Det är ett tillstånd som jag ibland kan återvända till efteråt och nästan förundras över. Det är det jag har börjat kalla nuvaro.
