Diego builds these densely layered scenes through painting, spray paint, and hand carving. He cuts directly into the panel, letting the carved lines interrupt the image and bring its figures and colors into relief. The surface shifts between painted detail and sculpted form, inviting a closer look at how each element meets and overlaps.
