Oh my goooshh, I've never even thought of iterators not having a basic chamber, but it makes so much sense. Benefactors, especially as far as we can tell before they had to migrate atop their cans, were still very material beings. We see this in their masks, architecture and culture, all evidence of their existence we see in game is a grand structure or facility to further their importance to the world. When creating such an early iterator like Bells, it's entirely possible that whatever local governance that commanded the project sought to have it play out as a tempt to bolster religious and karmic standings within Bells and then local community as a symbol of enlightened being, a literal savior to the struggle of the world. Anyways, blah, gorgeous art!
