HWPL Los Angeles

🕊️ • HWPL LA recently marked its 12th Annual Peace Walk, a gathering that united families, friends, community members, and local organizations in a mini resource fair known as the Peace Village.

Organizations such as the International Women’s Peace Group, For The Child, Operation Jumpstart, the Long Beach Department of Health & Human Services, the Los Angeles County of Youth Development, and the Fairfield Family YMCA came together to share invaluable resources aimed at empowering youth and families. As they led the peace walk, participants chanted words of peace and unity, while supportive onlookers cheered and drivers expressed their encouragement with honking horns.

This inspiring event showcased the collective power of community, centeered on the message: “Peace Begins With Me.” When we each recognize that the journey to peace starts within ourselves and connect with leaders and resources that champion this cause, we unlock our potential to create lasting change.

A heartfelt thank you to all our community partners and leaders who contributed to the success of the HWPL LA Peace Walk and Peace Village. We look forward to continuing this important work in the future!
