our name comes from jianbing, the Northern Chinese street crepe we started with at a little kiosk back in 2012. tonight it’s the mooncake’s turn in the spotlight.

which bing does your family reach for?

饼 bǐng
the word for round, flat breads and cakes. the whole family shows up at mid-autumn.

月饼 yuè bǐng / mooncake
the moon-shaped one. usually filled with something sweet, cut into wedges and shared with friends and family.

煎饼 jiān bǐng / jianbing
the one we’re named after. These inspired the entire Mr Bing brand starting with a kiosk selling these in 2012z

cōng yóu bǐng / scallion pancake
the flaky one. best with something bold on the side 👀
