Turn on the news in the morning
What will you see
Families being ripped apart at their seams
Whenever they give an order You better hope it’s not for you Or it might be the last time you step on this mighty land

What’s the point of lying to the people
That put their life in your hands
Changing what it means To live in the land of the free

And when the rain starts a’fallin
And the fists begin to fly
With the broken arm of a marine And Mr. Ramos with a detained child

The truth sits in front of us now And it’s tearing a nation apart
We have to change what it means to live in the land of the free

And each day I fear for my father
Cause he could get taken away tonight
As could any man that fits the kickout list
And I’m Sick of being young and burdened
With a world so self-destructive And a leader with fury in eyes And bombs to keep the world turning

Tell me, does that make you a bigger man
We have to change what it means to live in the land of the free

Thank you to @_itsiansu @a_jelo @dv._.wd @sudionyc For helping me bring this to life. “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace” - Jimi Hendrix
