It’s a full moon tonight! In honor of that, let’s take a walk with these lunar lovelies. This Carolyn Curtis book is a new discovery and I’m a fan! I also love Alison Jay’s art. This poem is the perfect way to start this picture book haul 🌝
I’m obsessed with this book. It’s my favorite way to teach the phases of the moon. Grace Lin is a star!
We can’t talk about the moon without talking about these incredible women. This is an excellent telling of such important work in history.
Also of course this guy too.
I love Jerry Pinkney always. This book is a telling of the moon landing from the perspective of Mae Jamison, the first African American woman to go to space. I always get teared up at the end.
This is a good little science book about night and day…
….and this was a great follow up! I loved this little story. It’s excellent for our imaginations!
Friendship on the moon! Say less!
The moon is in the shape of an “o” and so is the “o” in hope! A beautiful poem and beautiful illustration! And I promise I’m not biased…
Another poem and another Jerry piece!
Finishing off with watching the moon go around the world. How amazing is that!
Which is your favorite? 🌝
