1998 —Trade Please! Double💫 💫 👀 A unique piece of early Japanese Pokémon TCG history. The Trade Please! campaign ran in Japan in 1998, inviting collectors to send in Pokémon cards in exchange for special rewards. A fascinating snapshot of the creative campaigns that helped shape the early Pokémon collecting scene. But this Trainer promo has another detail that makes it truly stand out. Alongside Ancient Mew, it is one of the only known Pokémon TCG cards with a holographic back — and Trade Please! is unique for featuring the traditional Pokémon card-back design in holofoil. The familiar blue back, transformed into something extraordinary. Released during the early days of Pokémon, connected to a memorable campaign. Sometimes, the real rarity is hiding on the other side. Today, October 16, is Global Cat Day — a day dedicated to celebrating cats and helping protect them around the world. Founded by animal advocacy organization Alley Cat Allies, Global Cat Day brings attention to the millions of stray, feral, and abandoned cats that rely on people and communities for care and protection. The day encourages adoption, access to veterinary care, and humane community programs that give cats the chance to live safer, healthier lives. But Global Cat Day is about more than celebrating the cats we share our homes with. ❤️ Whether they’re curled up on a couch or living outdoors, every cat deserves compassion, safety, and kindness.
