Modern parenting has processing times. First comes a verbal warning, then a second warning, followed by a meeting about why the first two warnings made everyone uncomfortable. Back in the day, consequences had same-day shipping and no delivery fee. Mom didn’t need Amazon Prime. She had Mom Prime. Orders were processed before you finished saying, “It wasn’t me.” Tracking updates? That shit was out for delivery before you could even hit the cancel button. Returns were not accepted, customer service was permanently closed, and the CEO lived in your house and ruled with an iron fist like Stalin during the Great Purge. Except instead of Siberia, you got exiled to your bedroom, and your only chance at parole was convincing the same woman who sentenced you that you’d been rehabilitated. 💀

Is $33 for mayo, relish and mustard a deal (cuz after all, it was conveniently delivered to us within 15 minutes) or is Erica just rich? What price would you pay for a convenience?

Not 1991, but pretty close, I swear. 😂

Meet the newest member of my garage: a 1991 Honda Africa Twin XRV750 RD04.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know I have a soft spot for things with a story to tell. Whether it’s a vintage watch, an old film camera, a beautifully tailored jacket or, in this case, a motorcycle.

I’ve always believed that some things get better with age. Not necessarily because they’re perfect, but because they have character, history and a soul that you simply can’t recreate.

And this one has plenty of all three.

Born in an era when adventure bikes were built to explore the world, with the spirit of the Paris–Dakar running through their veins.

Almost 35 years later, she’s ready for a few more adventures. And so am I.

Welcome to the garage, old girl ❤️
