Hello everyone! 🩷

I'd already prepared the background for this page a while ago, as I'd had an idea for it. Not everything turned out quite as I'd hoped, but I learn something new with every portrait and I'm having an absolute blast. 🙂

As I was still using my older masking fluid, I had trouble again coloring over some areas with my cored pencils. I'll try a different one for the next page.

Painting the background first and then fitting the portrait into it is genuinely the harder way round, and you honestly cannot tell from the result. Old masking fluid leaving a slick that pencil refuses to grab is such an annoying failure mode too - almost always the age of the bottle rather than anything you did. Which one are you switching to for the next portrait?
