Some evenings stay with you 📚
From meeting President @cyrilramaphosa to connecting with leaders across education, business and civil society, Robert was honoured to be invited to the 17th Adopt-a-School Foundation Back to School Party in Johannesburg.
And what a room to be in.
The spirit of Ubuntu showed up in the conversations and connections. Different organisations. Different roles. All contributing to what comes next.
Robert also spent time with Siviwe Gwarube, Ndumiso Lindi, Donné Nicol, Carike & Mark Hayward and many other incredible humans. All there in support of one shared belief: that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
And, of course, a few FableReads books came along too, including our isiXhosa collection. 🦁📖
There was plenty of fun too, with everyone fully embracing the Back-to-School spirit and the live music vibe by Bongo Maffin at this annual fundraising event.
A huge thank you to Mthunzi Plaatjie for the invitation, and to the team for such a brilliantly organised evening, around a cause that matters deeply. 🫶🏾
For more than two decades, the Foundation has worked with under-resourced schools across South Africa, supporting everything from infrastructure and school leadership to curriculum development and learner wellbeing.
