I will never forget the first time I met @sswane. Not just because she had cool glasses 😎 long before they were cool. We spent an evening together, sitting outside for dinner, in beautiful California evening light, reminiscent of Greece.

Stephanie was full of encouragement for the hard work of female bakers and millers, of which there were too few at the time. We had spent that day at @modcuisine with a small group of grain enthusiasts. Since then, I’ve been in touch with Stephanie on occasion and each time her words of support have had a lasting impact. They have kept me going through all the challenges working on this book. I will be forever grateful. 🙏
