Here I am again with the second subject I’ve depicted: Nina Sayers from “Black Swan”—a young, disciplined ballerina with the New York City Ballet. As she attempts to embody the dark sensuality of the Black Swan, Nina gradually loses touch with reality, overwhelmed by anxiety, to the point where she finds herself battling against her own self—ultimately destroying who she was in order to transform into something else.

“Perfection is not just about control. It’s also about letting go. Surprise yourself so you can surprise the audience. Transcendence!”
