Spoiler: there might be more stages between sheep and skein than you thought.
There are so many skilful steps that go into turning a sheep’s fleece into a wonderfully woolly product, each requiring care, knowledge and skill.
This is, of course, not the only route, but it is one journey. And it’s the one that I was lucky enough to see down in Bradford at the @britishwool depot and Haworth Scouring Co. as part of the @nationalsheep Next Generation Symposium earlier this Wool Month (ft. some clips from the Evanton depot and a cameo of @thesheepgamevlog)

Yay, this is such a fun run down!! I'm sooo enjoying my research into the 17th century wool trade- there's not a heap if change in the process since then, either. Which is pretty cool!!
