With fall fishing fully upon us, I thought I'd look back at some of my favorite catches from this summer. Sometimes for the quality of fish, sometimes for how hard they fought, or sometimes for the story surrounding the catch. Oftentimes it's all three. I've been trying hard to increase my skill as an angler and keep getting out there, even if only for an hour at a time. I only started fishing with lures in July of last year. I had also never done any freshwater fishing before then. I'm north of 200 landed fish so far this year. I feel like a lot of the voices online for freshwater fishing are from the south or midwest and sometimes the stuff they say just doesn't translate super well to Maryland fishing. It makes me happy to see the cadre of talented Maryland anglers posting content online. I'm trying to be one of them.
