Part of the creative process behind Sicotropical. What a journey. Facing yourself, not liking what you draw, watching the weeks go by and feeling like you haven’t made any progress. I started back in March, and by August, when I thought everything was finally “finished”, I realized I didn’t like it. It wasn’t what I wanted. So I started all over again. Another important thing I learned is that rushing to finish a design is terrible advice to follow. Designs need time to come to life. Sometimes more, sometimes less. But anyway, you have to keep going, keep drawing and painting. A lot. A whole lot. And since we chose to do this, how great is it that this is the journey! Because what are we here for, if not to create? Anything, really. Just create.
