Where I live we have to use clear plastic bags. I bet there's people looking through the bags. It's an awful feeling knowing someone did that.

did your bank just believe you or was there some other mechanism you had in place for these sorts of thieves? i see the mailbox thieves in downtown NYC now for about 1 year, starting with when i walked up fr behind (totally by mistake, i had no idea, and i scared 1 of them, he had his mask off) ... so i'm like very aware of how prevalent stealing people's mail, albeit in NYC fr the mailboxes, is and what they do with it
