I enjoyed this one more than the first two. The story finally feels like itโ€™s picking up, and thereโ€™s a lot more happening. I also loved seeing familiar characters return. I think my biggest struggle with The Rain Wild Chronicles is that I havenโ€™t developed the same emotional attachment to these characters that I have with others in Hobbโ€™s world. I still appreciate the way she explores identity, transformation, and belonging, but something about this series just hasnโ€™t quite worked for me. And honestly, at this point, Iโ€™m mostly reading the Rain Wild Chronicles because I want to get back to Fitz and the Fool. I miss those characters and the emotional depth of their story. Iโ€™m glad Iโ€™m getting more of this world, but Iโ€™m definitely ready to return to them. #read #reading #book #books #bookstagram
