Hello! I hope you’re doing well. I’m IRYE, an independent screenwriter and multidisciplinary artist based in South Korea, currently developing my debut feature, In Praise Of Our Ruin, a psychological queer drama / black comedy. I’m hoping to bring the project into UK production and move to the UK in 2027 to develop my work. I’ve been exploring programmes such as MIDPOINT and TorinoFilmLab, as well as the UK Global Screen Fund, but finding the right UK-based producer and development opportunities from South Korea has been challenging.
