To answer some questions about our neighbor Mike..no he has no kids so no grandkids either, has no nieces/nephews/cousins etc, was never married and became disabled In his early 20’s. He’s lived in the house since he was a baby and is the last one left. When we first moved in his dad was there but we lost him during Covid and Mike had to navigate all of that alone. I used to ask him if he needed help and he always said he was fine.

Well I stopped asking and the best thing happened….
he just knows I’m coming 🥹❤️‍🩹

Twice a week I walk over and he sits in the yard with my son as I clean and this week he put on new shoes and his sun hat and when I asked him why he broke out his new shiny walking shoes he said,
“Gotta keep up with Totty and if I don’t wear them now I don’t think I ever will….”

And knowing that he can barely walk after suffering a traumatic brain injury in his 20’s but that he dug out his nicest shoes to attempt to chase after my toddler….some family truly is thicker than blood 🥹❤️‍🩹

He told me the other day he doesn’t remember the last time he got a Christmas card in the mail and I can’t image his surprise having a full mailbox for Christmas. Will you help me?
