“That is real hard work...”

The UFC CEO @danawhite says building a business is nothing like doing physically demanding work, pointing to construction workers in Las Vegas who face scorching summers and freezing winters.

They put in long days, go home exhausted, get some rest and do it all again the next morning.

For Dana, seeing what these workers go through is a reminder that perspective matters when we talk about hard work.

Have you ever stopped to think about how hard other people have it?

DEADLIFT - 705LBS/320KG X 2
DEADLIFT - 661LBS/300LG X 4

Yesterday was the best training session I’ve had in a long time. I injured my elbow squatting over a month ago so it has been extremely difficult for me to find a groove in the gym.

I would be lying if I said this injury hasn’t challenged my patience and my confidence. One of the things that has helped me is changing my perspective. Am I at 100%? No. Can I find ways to make progress? Yes. I still can’t do a proper low bar squat but this has allowed me to hit some high bar PRs. This is also the best deadlift has felt in a minute so I’m excited to push there and see what I can do.

I’ve adopted the phrase, “do what you can, when you can”. All I can do is control what’s in front of me and go from there. I’m going to keep showing up and putting the work in. Better days are coming 🤞🏾
