Un instant suspendu, un regard en arrière, et le temps qui semble s’arrêter. 🖤 Et si, le temps d’une séance, on créait ensemble une image qui ne ressemble qu’à toi ? #PortraitFineArt #BlackAndWhitePhotography #CinematicPortrait #FineArtPhotography #PortraitArtistique

Today, dockworkers at more than 100 ports across 4 continents are on strike—refusing to handle military cargo for Israel. Listen as Simone with the Livorno Autonomous Dockworkers Group @gruppoautonomoportualilivorno in Italy delivers a message to Houston port workers on this historic occasion and hear why port workers around the world must stand together to intervene in the supply chain of genocide. We know that no cargo moves without workers. We call on port workers in the US to recognize the power they have in stopping the flow of weapons to Israel. From Nov 2-4, join us as we host a Week of Action against the Houston International Maritime Conference to confront the executives responsible for these shipments. Port of Houston: End your complicity! No Labor for Genocide!

Actor Macaulay Culkin, best known for his role in Home Alone, recreated the famous Thousand Yard Stare meme for Halloween, dressing as a traumatised soldier with a military helmet, camouflage face paint and an exhausted expression. His costume closely resembles the haunting artwork inspired by a photograph of a US Marine during the Battle of Eniwetok in 1944. The original image became an enduring symbol of the psychological toll of warfare, capturing the vacant expression often associated with extreme combat stress. Culkin’s recreation brought the historic image into modern pop culture, highlighting just how recognisable the famous stare has become. 🎃🪖
