Democratic politician Chris Pappas has made history after winning the US Senate election in New Hampshire, becoming the first openly gay man elected to the United States Senate.

Pappas defeated Republican former senator John Sununu in the November 3 election. He also thanked his husband, Vann, following his historic victory.

The 46-year-old politician has served in the US House of Representatives since 2018. His victory has been welcomed by LGBTQ rights groups, who described it as a historic moment for equality and representation in American politics.

Update From Florida: Pistol now has full access to the house. He doesn’t hang out in the cat room as much. He only eats & drinks from Cleo’s bowls. Pistol will chirp SO LOUD at night (I know it’s not loud in the video, that was just the first time I got him on camera)
