8 days agoYes. Itβs sad. Worth remembering that the east coast whale migration numbers have gone from highly endangered levels in the 1980s, to one of the largest seasonal migrations on the planet. So of course there will be more fatalities. The reality is we need to have government industry protocols to keep up with this issue. Are we just going to leave more whale carcasses floating onshore attracting more predators ? Yes there are indigenous cultural concerns to put into that mix as well. But to just leave them there rotting for weeks or months is just wrong. Tow them out to sea and let nature do its thing out there.
