Mataas ang iniwan sa akin ng JoshLia movie na Un/Happy For You kaya I'm expecting that if ever they will do another movie mahihigitan nila so when I found out that they are doing this, okay, let's go but after watching the trailer, hindi ako na-tease and after watching it.. it's just okay!
JoshLia really anchored this movie well, individually, Julia Barretto is good portraying flawed character, she's not your typical romantic movie leading lady for me, I hope to see her in a challenging role that will showcase her acting prowess and versatility, Joshua Garcia on the other hand remained ABSCBN's Most bankable leading man of this generation and hopefully I wanna see him stepping out into this zone and flex his acting capabilities. The supporting cast are also good most especially Bob J'Beili and Karen Reyes, it looks like the new pambansang best friend role are born and lastly Bianca Umali, she's impressive here and she's so ready to do more! Sobrang nagshine si Bianca dito and hopefully in her next movie project, sya naman ang bida!
As someone na fan ng romantic movies ng Star Cinema, I'm expecting na they would step out into their comfort zone and make a movie that is something new, in this movie, nandon pa din yung mga usual tropes ng Star Cinema (including that wig) and I'm looking for something new, oh before I forgot, I love the cinematography of this movie! I love the shots! Ice Seguerra 's Kamusta Ka added extra "feels" to this movie, it was a good choice of song!
As much as I want to give this movie a higher rating but ang main gripe ko dito is that I was emotionally distant to the character, the execution of the story is kinda messy, gets ko yung gusto nila i-achieve however I guess with better pacing and editing, they can do it.
Importante sa akin na emotionally invested ako sa ganitong genre, not necessarily nakakarelate dahil nangyari sa akin but yung you will be rooting for them, gets ko yung right love at the wrong time, what can you do for love, what ifs, missed opportunities but nanghihinayang ako! Palaging may cheating arc movies nila like unhappy for you then ito. Their movies are keep getting worse. Julia’s movie without joshua are better and chef kiss like expensive candy and between maybes. Sobrang repetitive ng joshlia movie, nagkahiwalay then nagkita then magbabalikan. Then ganun din sila magpromo, nakakaumay, wala nang excitement.

I expected it to be more emotionally engaging, I tried but I had a hard time connecting also, I cannot root for Apollo and Luna's story, for me they are better off as friends, they tried but laging sablay though I must say, I like the open ending, yung tipong its for the viewers interpretation. Overall, Always Yours Never Mine is for those people who have what ifs and TOTGA, ang ganda Sana nong premise! JoshLia and Direk Cathy, bawi kayo please! You can do better than this!
