Kandilli House: Interior design by @ofisistanbul

The client’s preference for walking barefoot while always feeling a rug beneath his feet made textiles an important part of the design. Through rugs, fabrics and tactile surfaces, we strengthened the house’s connection to its geography. This local, at times distinctly rural character was layered over a clean and modern architectural framework. Without its textiles, the interior feels contemporary and global; with them, it becomes unmistakably rooted in this place.
