Today, we had the pleasure of visiting several Milwaukee Public Schools to congratulate the winners of our 2026 Fire Prevention Week Poster-to-Billboard Contest!

Students in three age groups (K-Grade 2, Grades 3-5, and Grades 6-8) created entries inspired by this year’s theme: “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!” The theme highlights simple steps everyone can take to safely charge lithium-ion battery-powered devices.

Our 2026 Grand Prize winner, eighth grader Mariela from Longfellow School, will have her artwork featured on two billboards throughout the city beginning this Monday through the duration of Fire Prevention Week.

Congratulations to all of our wonderful winners, and thank you to every school and student who participated! Special thanks to the Milwaukee Bucks  and Milwaukee Admirals  for contributing tickets for our winners.
