Horror has always had a complicated relationship with disability. Itβs been the twitch that signals evil, the wheelchair that means vulnerable, the scar that means damaged. Access:Horror exists because disabled filmmakers got tired of being the genreβs shorthand and started making the films instead.
If you want to see more films and festivals that are accessible and made by and for disabled folks, share this with your community or send to a friend β any support helps us grow and reach more people who could greatly benefit from what these films have to say.
The inclusivity we strive for with Access:Horror doesnβt stop at our films, but bleeds into our ticket prices as well. For just $20, you can watch 19 films + filmmaker Q&Aβs from October 4 - November 1. Thatβs nearly $1 per film!Β
Tickets are available at https://accesshorror.filmchief.com/hub, we hope to see you soon.
