suspension vs rigid frame. infact fat tyres have a way smaller diameter so roll over bumps harder. to even match a decent 29er setup they need the pressure so low that the amount of wheel drag is insanely high. also they naturally are way heavier at the wheel than 29ers. all of this especially matters on ebikes which make less than half a horsepower.

One of the hardest parts about moving somewhere new is starting from scratch. New routines, new faces, and trying to find your place in a community that already exists. Jessie and Hannah have been two of the first people to make this new place feel like home. Something as simple as having friends show up for an early morning track workout means more than they probably realize. With the NYC Marathon approaching, I’ve been thinking a lot about momentum. Not just in running, but in life. The importance of continuing to show up, putting yourself out there, looking inward, and trusting that God is working even when things feel unfamiliar. I’m learning that you can be incredibly grateful for where you are and still struggle with the transition of getting there. God has a funny way of putting the right people in your life at the right time. Grateful for these two, grateful for this chapter, and grateful for another day to get better. Slowly but surely, finding my stride. God is good!
