Happy Birthday Dadaji Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan shares an incredibly close and affectionate grandfather-granddaughter bond with Aaradhya Bachchan, the daughter of Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Despite the megastar’s demanding filming schedules, "Daddu" (as she affectionately calls him) ensures that their relationship remains full of warmth, playfulness, and modern connection.

Sweet Insights into Their Relationship

• Sunday Playtime: On Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), Amitabh shared that because they leave at different times for work and school during the week, they strictly reserve Sundays to spend quality time and play games together.
• The Pink Hairband Hack: Amitabh revealed that like any grandchild, Aaradhya sometimes gets upset or angry with him. Knowing her absolute favourite colour is pink, he immediately diffuses the situation by gifting her pink hair clips and hairbands to bring back her smile.
• Staying Connected Digitally: When travelling for outdoor film shoots, Amitabh relies heavily on FaceTime technology to stay in touch and converse regularly with Aaradhya.

Amitabh Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan share a close and affectionate grandfather-granddaughter bond. Amitabh is the legendary Bollywood actor and patriarch of the family, while Aaradhya is his granddaughter, born in November 2011 to his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Aspects of Their Relationship

Grandfather and Granddaughter: Amitabh affectionately calls her family pet names and famously referred to her as Laxmi Ratna when she was born.
Staying Connected: Due to busy filming schedules and early school hours, Amitabh stays in touch with Aaradhya through video calls (FaceTime) when he is away from home.
