OUT NOW! 🐾 Eltie Takes the Lead is officially on shelves everywhere books are sold!

It’s been so much fun hearing all the positive (or should I say PAWsitive) feedback from those of you who already have the book in your hands! I’m so happy you’re loving Eltie as much as I do. ❤️

For those who haven’t picked up a copy yet, here are a few of my favorite pages to give you a little peek inside! It’s available now in hardcover and audiobook.

Illustration 1: Illustration of a shaggy black dog sitting and smiling at the viewer, with brown eyes, a pink tongue out, and a white patch of fur on his chest.

Illustration 2: Three illustrations of the same black dog in costume: as a firefighter climbing a ladder toward a cat in a tree, as a doctor with red glasses and a stethoscope beside a mouse, and as a chef in a tall white hat stirring a pan of vegetables.

How had our entire family never heard of Millionaire Spaghetti?! It exceeded every expectation, was quick to pull together and absolutely sensational.

MILLIONAIRE SPAGHETTI

PASTA + ALFREDO
• 2 boxes cooked spaghetti (2 lb dry); reserve pasta water
• 2 sticks butter
• 2 Tbsp minced garlic
• 2 cups heavy whipping cream
• 2 cups grated Parmesan
• Salt + pepper

MEAT SAUCE
• 3 lb ground beef
• ½ white onion, chopped
• 3 Tbsp minced garlic
• ½ cup minced carrot
• 1 Tbsp each tarragon, oregano + chicken bouillon paste
• 12 oz tomato paste
• 28 oz crushed tomatoes
• Salt + pepper

FOR LAYERING
• 3 cups shredded mozzarella
• 1 cup grated Parmesan

1. ALFREDO: Melt butter over medium-low heat. Add garlic; cook 1 minute. Add cream; simmer 3–5 minutes. Lower heat and stir in Parmesan until smooth. Season with salt + pepper. Toss with spaghetti, adding pasta water as needed.
2. MEAT SAUCE: Brown beef; drain excess fat. Add onion + carrot; cook 5–7 minutes. Add garlic + herbs; cook 1 minute. Stir in tomato paste; cook 2–3 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes + bouillon; simmer 20–30 minutes. Thin with water as needed and season to taste.
3. LAYER: Spread a little meat sauce in a deep lasagna pan. Add half the pasta, half the remaining meat sauce, 1 cup mozzarella + ½ cup Parmesan. Repeat with remaining pasta, sauce, 2 cups mozzarella + ½ cup Parmesan.
4. BAKE: Cover with foil; bake at 350°F for 30–40 minutes until hot throughout. Uncover for 10 minutes, then broil 1–3 minutes until golden, watching closely. Rest 10 minutes.
