Tesla’s new Roadster just pulled off one of the wildest car demos we’ve seen. During the reveal in Texas, the car drove up an inverted ramp using a fan-based suction system, launched into the air, rotated mid-flight, then used compressed-air thrusters to control its descent and land back on all four wheels. Tesla says the Roadster’s thruster system was developed with SpaceX engineers and is designed for short bursts of lift, aerial control, and extreme acceleration. It also showed off a claimed 0–60 mph time of 0.81 seconds, with production currently targeted for 2028. At this point, calling it just a supercar feels like an understatement.
