Traditionally, filigree is constructed within a fixed frame, where tension allows fine wire elements to be held in place. It is often described as the art of capturing air.
In this series, the frame is removed. Individual filigree units are soldered one by one, allowing forms to emerge through accumulation rather than containment. Structure is built without a boundary, held together by repetition and fragile connections.
Each work takes the form of a mirror, yet refuses the stability typically associated with reflection. These mirrors are porous, incomplete, and directional—unable to return a fixed image. Instead, they operate as structures of attention: systems that filter, focus, and shape how we encounter the world.
