The lawyer for the woman who alleges she was raped at a Cornell University fraternity house says she is "not doing well" as she finds herself "under siege" from online sleuths seeking to identity her.

Thomas Giuffra said the woman known in legal documents as Jane Doe was "incapable of consent" because she was "completely, grossly intoxicated" when she turned up at the home where she says the assault took place.

The woman alleges she was assaulted by seven men at the campus in Ithaca, New York, in 2024.

No charges were initially filed in the case. It has reopened since she filed a civil lawsuit that thrust the claims into the national spotlight, reigniting the possibility of criminal charges.

While we are teaching our sons about consent, let us teach our girls that their personal security is their responsibility.

So this is interesting after the Lindsay Clancy case to re invigorate this case. This is very good strategy from these defense attorneys. By the way, young lawyers take notes using public momentum and outrage

Why is a University anywhere given the authority of the judicial branch? Ludacris. They are not equipped nor should they pretend to be capable of dealing with criminal investigations or criminal prosecution or criminal punishment.

Cornell University was the first university to coin the term “Sexual Harassment”. Here they are, 51 years later, and they haven’t learned a damn thing.

The amount of “effort” is normal across American campuses. The ways in which campus police and campus administrators do not want to do the work is very much exposed here. This isn’t a one case of. This is the normal.

Well done! A decent man standing up for a woman and not for the men involved.

Everyone failed this woman. Cornel university, the local police, the district DA. People should go to jail not just the rapists.

This will be the case that has NY adopt the Explicit Protections (Voluntary and Involuntary) state law. If the victim is not of sound mind (including self intoxication - FULL STOP), consent is clearly impossible. Every guy/person instinctively knows when they have a waisted girl/vistem she is “free prey!”🤨🤨🤨
