@smagulovkengirbay @too_sptvs @turgynui.ins

ODE TO A MARKET. Ever since moving to the Haut Marais in 2009, the Marché des Enfants Rouge became a place I would wander, stop for lunch, meet a friend, and I always felt welcome. Coming from NYC, the energy of food stalls from around the globe made this market slash dining spot feel like home. A warm ‘Ciao’ from the Italian restaurateur; a soft smile from the Asian chef at my favorite Japanese stand; an extra rose from the Indian flower vendor. This multi-layered marché became my happy place. I passed by often for a solo lunch, or to proudly show off this, the oldest covered market in Paris dating back to 1615, to my mom or a friend from afar. I also led clients through the space during my fashion tours, and even filmed here for @airbnb. When I woke to the news of the devastating fire this morning, my heart sank. Mostly for the vendors whose lives and livelihoods are so deeply entwined. I haven’t passed by to see the destruction, yet. But my heart is with this special spot. I know this historic haunt will rise from the ashes. For now, I hold on to these memories ❤️
