BIRTHDAY RIDE: PUNE TO GATEWAY OF INDIA, 155KM SOLO. 🚴‍♂️ I didn’t want a party. I wanted to spend time with myself. So on my birthday, at 12 AM, I started riding from Pune to Gateway of India. All alone. No support vehicle, no group, just me, my cycle and the road. The plan was simple, reach Mumbai for sunrise. And what a night it was. I took the Pune Mumbai Old Highway. Weather was perfect throughout. But most of the patches had NO streetlights at all. Just my front light, the sound of my breath and those empty highways you saw in the video. Scary? A little. Peaceful? So much. After 7 hours and 155 kilometers, I was in Bombay. Watching the sunrise at the Gateway - empty, quiet, only pigeons around. Worth every pedal. This was a self-supported ride, so I was my own mechanic, nutritionist and support team. I carried everything - hydration bag, energy gels, electrolytes, fruits & food, first aid kit, tool kit, extra tube, air pump. Why solo? Because we are always around people, noise, notifications. Sometimes the best gift you can give yourself is your own company. Solo riding teaches you to listen to yourself, to push when your mind says stop, to enjoy your own thoughts. Spending quality time with yourself is not lonely, it’s powerful. It’s the best birthday gift. Here’s to more miles, more sunrises and more time with myself.
