Sizewell C

🚂 Our first commercial freight train arrived at Sizewell C in September, carrying more than 1,000 tonnes of construction materials from Tunstead Quarry in Derbyshire, along our new Green Rail Route, with the train stretching around 270 metres long!

🌙 Freight trains travel at night to minimise disruption at level crossings, with materials unloaded straight onto site.

🤝 This milestone was made possible through close collaboration between Sizewell C, atkinsrealis, @balfourbeatty @macegroup, @networkrail and many others.
