Friendship breakups don’t get talked about enough - and they can hurt just as much as romantic ones.

Comment ‘Friendship’ and I’ll DM you a link to the full episode.

Leading expert on female friendship, @daniellebayardjackson, shared something with me that completely changed how I think about friendship:

Not every friendship is meant to last forever.

And just because a friendship is now “over” doesn’t mean it wasn’t meaningful. When someone is deeply woven into your life, their absence leaves a mark.

In this episode of @themelrobbinspodcast, Danielle breaks down the surprising truth about adult friendship and shares 3 simple ways to make connections feel easier again.

I’m not usually one to follow social media trends, but creating this photo unexpectedly brought me to tears.

I’ve imagined going back to hold that little girl and tell her how loved she is. To embrace that teenage mother and tell her “You’re going to be OK. That little boy is going to become an incredible man of God. You have no idea what God has planned for your life.”

For so many years, I didn’t even know how to dream, let alone imagine the life I have today. I was simply trying to survive, be a good mother, and make it through another day.

I had no idea what God was writing in the chapters I thought would kill me.

Looking at this photo made me realize how much time I spend focusing on where I’m going instead of appreciating how far God has already brought me.

I still have dreams I’m praying for, battles I’m fighting, and promises I’m waiting on. But there’s something I know now with absolute certainty…

God was with me the entire time.

Through the loneliness, rejection, and uncertainty, even when I felt completely forgotten.

And the greatest blessing wasn’t what I’ve accomplished or how much my circumstances have changed. It was coming to know the One who carried my son and me through it all. Jesus.

If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be this:

You may not know God yet, but He has always known you. Before you were even formed in your mother’s womb, He knew you. You are chosen, deeply loved, and never forgotten.

And if knowing Him were all I ever gained, I would have gained everything.

So maybe this is your reminder today…

Don’t become so consumed with where you’re praying God will take you that you forget to thank Him for how far He’s already brought you.

Don’t mistake His silence for His absence. Just because you can’t see what He’s doing doesn’t mean He isn’t working.

One day, you may look back at the very season you thought would break you and realize just how faithfully He carried you through it.

Your story isn’t over. God is still writing it.

All glory to the Most High 🕊️
