we are entering the era of the writer girl for the first time in about a decade of internet lore & as a lifelong blogger, my dreams have come true 🤓 comment GROW & i’ll teach you all about how i did it!

spoiler though, it’s by doing the thing i have been doing since i was a little girl, long before i ever knew it could make me a single dollar. we have spent YEARS being told that to make money online we have to be everywhere, all the time. post more. create more. chase the algorithm. turn every waking moment into content.

and meanwhile… people are craving DEPTH. real stories. real connection. actual words that make them feel something.

i genuinely believe we are watching a massive shift happen in real time. the return of the writer. the storyteller. the person who has something to SAY.

and the fact that we can now build wildly abundant businesses around our voices?! our thoughts?! our actual souls?! i will never get over it.

i wrote an entire *free* substack post breaking down how i’ve grown mine to nearly $500k a year, what has actually worked, the real secret sauce, and how you can start growing yours too.

comment GROW and i’ll send it straight to you. because your words might just be the most valuable thing you own. and i think it’s time you found out. ♡

Japanese game shows are on a completely different level. 😭💀

In this hilarious clip from a Japanese variety show, contestants take the idea of becoming everyday objects to the extreme, turning a baseball practice session into an absolutely ridiculous challenge.

With one person lying on the ground as part of the setup while others play baseball around them, the entire scene looks like something only Japanese television could come up with.

Whoever comes up with these ideas deserves a raise. 😂

Haitians Honor Their Ancestors Through Fèt Gede, a Two-Day Celebration of Life, Death, and Tradition

Every year on November 1 and 2, Haitians in Haiti and across the diaspora observe Fèt Gede, one of the most meaningful celebrations in Haitian Vodou. It is a time to honor loved ones who have passed away, remember our ancestors, and celebrate the connection between the living and the dead.

During Fèt Gede, Vodou practitioners gather at cemeteries to pray, light candles, make offerings, and pay their respects. Some wear black, purple, and white, while others celebrate through music, dancing, and traditional ceremonies.

At the heart of the celebration are the Gede spirits, who are associated with death, ancestors, and the cycle of life. Baron Samedi and Manman Brigitte are among the best-known spirits connected to these traditions.

While Fèt Gede takes place around the same time as All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, it has its own deep roots in Haitian history, spirituality, and culture.

For many Haitians, Fèt Gede is more than a day of remembrance. It is a celebration of those who came before us and the traditions that continue to connect generations.
