Grandma and Aunt Kristi got to see Ella in action this weekend. It was a good game but another tough loss for the Gamecocks in overtime. Fun times as always but looking forward to a couple of weekends at home!

Blogged by: Grace L.
Comedian and actor Reggie McFadden, whose career stretched from New York comedy stages to some of the most recognizable Black television shows of the 1990s, has died at 57.
According to TMZ, McFadden’s sister, author Bernice McFadden, said the U.S. State Department contacted the family Sunday to inform them that he had died in Tanzania. McFadden had reportedly been living in the East African country for approximately 18 years. His family had not been told when he died or what caused his death as of Monday.
Bernice also told TMZ that Reggie McFadden had been estranged from his relatives for some time over “family [expletive]” No additional circumstances surrounding his death were immediately disclosed.
Long before television audiences knew his face, McFadden was developing his voice as a stand up comedian in New York. A 1996 profile from the Los Angeles Times chronicled his transition from comedy clubs into acting. The newspaper reported that he landed a small role in the 1990 psychological thriller “Jacob’s Ladder” before scoring what it described as his major acting break on “Martin” three years later.
That “Martin” appearance put Reggie McFadden in the orbit of a television comedy boom that was creating defining opportunities for Black performers. According to the Los Angeles Times, the role led to appearances on “Coach” and “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper.” The same profile reported that McFadden later worked as both a regular performer and writer during the final 1993 to 1994 season of Fox’s groundbreaking sketch series “In Living Color.”
USA Today reported that McFadden appeared in 23 episodes of “In Living Color,” performing in sketches including “Wheel of Dozens” and “All Up in the Family.” The outlet also listed “Moesha” among his later television credits. An archived UPN press release specifically credits McFadden as a scalper in a 1996 “Moesha” episode packed with guest appearances from entertainers including Jermaine Dupri, Adele Givens, Nia Long, Lisa Leslie, Russell Simmons, and Montell Jordan.](https://s11.imginn.com/836807009_18688581931043519_407799694472539437_n.jpg?t51.82787-15/836807009_18688581931043519_407799694472539437_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e35_p720x720_tt6&_nc_cat=105&ig_cache_key=NDAwMTM5NzI3NTM2NDI4NDI2OA%3D%3D.3-ccb7-5&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=58cdad&efg=eyJ2ZW5jb2RlX3RhZyI6IkNBUk9VU0VMX0lURU0ueHBpZHMuMTA4MC5zZHIucmVndWxhcl9waG90by5DMyJ9&_nc_ohc=7X15hUWzxS8Q7kNvwESbrXu&_nc_oc=AdriSPjjyFgZfi-eadMVbXZXd3cyvpw7letoYBxkE207qdfesDFg_M7P1fWxtVtYtc2ChYKyPCfUxdNBEG3ZsBIX&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-dfw5-1.cdninstagram.com&_nc_gid=_KTpG8nGM_4_XliKvXcEAg&_nc_ss=70289&oh=00_AQNFAaCoDUbr0SwHDn6abwWCwvKUUx2sk7tofgbjI9Na4w&oe=6ACAE56C)
