【ROOTELLIGENCE 展品亮點聚光燈 Vol. 9】
展覽十大精選展品介紹嚟到 第九集！今次同大家介紹來自大學研究項目嘅《Avian Cartography: Mapping the Unseen City 以鳥類為中心的城市地圖》
傳統嘅城市地圖大多只以人類視角出發，忽視咗野生動物嘅生活軌跡。團隊特別以瀕危物種 黑臉琵鷺 嘅棲息範圍為基礎，製作出全新嘅 GIS 數碼地理地圖 🗺️🦅
研究揭示咗人為嘅行政邊界如何無形中割裂鳥類棲息地，威脅其生存。但其實保護鳥類與濕地生態，正正係為我哋嘅沿海城市建立天然屏障，防禦水浸與極端氣候災害！

Welcome to Part 9 of our 10-exhibits feature series! Today, we feature a research-driven exhibit: Avian Cartography: Mapping the Unseen City ✨
Most conventional city maps are designed solely for human use, overlooking the vital habitats of local wildlife. This university research project creates new GIS maps centered around the living zones of the endangered black-faced spoonbill 🗺️🦅
The study highlights how arbitrary political borders fragment wildlife habitats and threaten species survival. Crucially, it reminds us that protecting birds and wetlands is directly tied to safeguarding our coastal cities from flooding and climate risks!
