A peek at Renee & Xavier’s first dance to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson. This was our first time at @thethompsoninn in New Hampshire, but our second time celebrating with Renee’s family. So many familiar faces, along with getting to meet and celebrate with Xavier’s family, made this one feel a little like a family reunion for us too. Congratulations, Renee & Xavier! ❤️🥂💍

* MELBOURNE MARATHON RANT * My second marathon at the Melbourne Marathon 7 or 8 years ago. Top 30.. These are the days when you could rock up on Saturday and buy an entry for the marathon. Now.. Firstly, You'll see no one around me.. If you look at today's runners, they are everywhere at this mark which I find fantastic. Everyone who finished today, congratulations. Now.. I was meant to be there to watch, but had a family emergency and had to cancel at the last minute. A little upsetting as I would have loved to see Kipchoge in the flesh, but is what it is.. Man.. What a disaster!!! I thought maybe the new course and the time between racing would work. Well, well, well It backfired and it was absolutely disgusting. As predicted, I knew it was going to be utter madness. Things I saw ( via the youtube feed ) A bloke in the crowd on a bike not watching a runner ( also in the crowd ) in front of him, rides into his feet and goes straight over the handle bars and destroys himself in the process. People just riding on course taking photos and video's, Some absolute stroker runs onto the last part of the course just to get a video ( escorted off by police and hopefully fined ) The Half.. 9.45am start on a day that is already 25 degrees. The potential of Seth running the fastest half marathon in Australian history taken away by crowds of runners in front of him that he had to duck and weave through. Press motorbikes continuingly having to beep the horn to make people aware that the runners are coming through, Georgia ( Half mara winner ) nearly running into a bike due to a shit bit of course squeezing them into the slower runners, The water stations being the most dangerous place on the course and low crowd numbers in the G. I'm going to say this for the LAST TIME!!! The marathon should be the only event on Sunday.. IT'S FUCKING PLAIN AND SIMPLE ! If you want a good safe happy marathon, get rid of the ballot. Make all the other events on Saturday and then double the entries for Sunday.. Comment if you agree or disagree. Melbourne just DON'T GET IT! Things need to change. It's downright dangerous and after all these years, still frustrating for faster runners.
Well that was a MISSION. But I have been wanting to paint that room for ages. Took way longer than I thought because I had to prime it first which was really boring but unavoidable. And I’m still not finished. Gotta add some nice lighting and paint the ceiling. 🥳 Our salted caramel bites kept me going. 😅 What do you think???
