Is this exercise really all that? What makes it so good? Am I even doing it right? I’m getting used to playing on a real snare. It feels snappier and definitely a lot louder.

I love the 100 rule where you practice something 100 times wow even slow it transforms everything

The most essential; works all the fundamentals in one go. You can work on more wrist motion and back finger support along with keep stick height even so the sound is even. It also works sound quality and getting a full stroke (not slicing the stick)

Yes!! But do it at 3 different dynamics (soft medium and loud) while trying to match them! The reason your left hand is louder is because to play as soft as your right your left hands fingers need the same strength which takes a while to build even. I still use that exercise a lot!!🔥❤️

Make sure that your hands are even with each other cause you dont want to sound louder

Quick question but is the squishy supposed to be like a silencer so the snare sounds more crisp or are you practicing how far your sticks need to be from each other or the drum?
