Another October babe celebrating her birthday with us at BASS TOGETHER - THE BIRDS NEST - CLEVELAND is, DJ Krunchy!
A true veteran of the American jungle and drum & bass scene, DJ Krunchy has been pushing dark, hard-edged bass music since the early 1990s.
Originally drawn to electro, industrial and hardcore sounds, Krunchy found her calling in jungle after discovering the early sounds of ragga, hardcore breaks and techstep. She eventually carved out a signature style built around darkside jungle, rugged bass, intricate breaks and the raw energy of classic American drum & bass.
A longtime presence in the NYC scene, Krunchy has been associated with Konkrete Jungle NYC and was part of the influential Ignite crew alongside DJ Empress and DJ 101. Over the years, she has shared lineups with some of the biggest names in drum & bass, including Dara, Dom & Roland, Bad Company and Dieselboy.
Her career has taken her across the United States and Europe, earning a reputation for razor-sharp mixing, deep musical knowledge and a no-compromise approach to the darker side of the sound.
Today, Krunchy continues to represent the roots of DNB and Jungle throughout the US.
