SWT foster family, we just released our latest monthly update — and what a special month it was! At Kaluku, the menagerie (including Bombi, Pips, Wangalla, Bumpy, Kaikai, Bungalu, Gruff, Bibi, Chamboi, and Korbessa, pictured here) was in fine fettle. Over at the Nursery, Alia started to shine as a nanny and the others attempted to keep Pardamat’s outsized ego kept in check, with middling success. Our Ithumba and Voi Reintegration Units saw the return of many familiar faces, while our Umani herd was awhirl with yet another elephant romance. — If you’re a foster parent, find the latest update in your inbox or your account: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/account Happy reading — and thank you for being part of our herd! Your support helps us to give the 100+ orphans in our care the family and the wild future they deserve. — Our global family of foster parents makes our work possible. Want to join our herd? Not all ground beef is the same, and choosing the right fat percentage can make a big difference in how your food turns out. 80/20 is a popular choice for juicy, flavorful burgers, while 85/15 offers a great balance for tacos. For hearty chili, 70/30 brings richness and flavor, especially when the excess fat is drained after browning. If you prefer a leaner option, 93/7 works well in dishes where you want less fat. Understanding these ratios makes it easier to choose the right ground beef for your next meal.
