UD School of Music

Senior Julia McDonnell, an applied music major focused on bassoon performance, spent her summer researching more than 70 female composers of solo bassoon works as a UD Summer Scholar. Her research culminated in a livestream recital featuring works by some of the composers she discovered. 🎶

With support from faculty mentor Zachary Feingold, Julia explored a topic that was both personally meaningful and musically fulfilling. She also plays mellophone in the UD Marching Band.
