This summer has been one of the most fulfilling and travelled periods of my life: moving out of my house in Nashville in April — several trips to Miami, producing a full length record, and completing projects of all kinds. Missing my stuff, missing my dog, living out of a suitcase. Traveling constantly between Chattanooga, Nashville, Colorado for concerts, performances, filming, housing, events, moving… It’s been a lot.
And it’s been a lot of good. The movement has given me the practice of creating stability in chaos. The time back home has given me an even deeper appreciation for this beautiful place I’ve grown up. I owe so much to Colorado - it given me so many opportunities and set me up with the experience I’m excited to implement in Tennessee
The other day I sat at the rocks up behind the lake at my parents’ house for what felt like the last time in Act One. It will always be one of the most important places of my life and I wish I had spent more time there.
I was thinking about how October 2024 was the beginning of this long journey and transition. Since then I’ve been successful, tossed around, loved, uplifted, challenged, broken, inspired and have grown so much. The first move to Nashville was without a doubt one of the most challenging periods of my life, but maybe I just wan’t able to see the why while I was living in it. It ended up being the right thing.
Nashville is such a rewarding place and I plan to be there often and continue growing and connecting there. Through the power outages, tornadoes, successes, breakups, a ton of recording, production, drumming, work, and an obscene amount of travel in order to make the transition from Colorado it was really really great.

I met the most incredible musicians who reignited my drive. I met truly amazing people who inspired me to do good. I discovered my own non-religious spirituality, creative philosophy, and I discovered what I truly want and need my life. in order, on paper. And best of all I discovered Chattanooga, where I’ll be living starting on Friday. It feels right. I will be an arms length from Nashville, Atlanta, Asheville and I get to live in my own home in a place that I consider to be as beautiful as Colorado in its own way. So it all worked out. It was pretty fucking close but it all worked out. But only thanks to the people in my life. With so much thanks to my friends in Colorado, who never got sick of me having another “Three-quarters birthday and going away (for now) party” so I could have some redemption for the last few years and have a few chances to say goodbye to the people I love so much. And with so much thanks to my friends in TN - for offering a place to stay (again), offering to watch my dog (again), driving around with me to look at houses (again) and of course my parents for supporting and trusting me, those early morning conversations with coffee, and cooking me one more home-made meal one more time. I love you Colorado. Thank you.
