TNHT Staff: @staxxssss_malone —————— Neighbors, check out this story. A 15-year-old Florida girl is facing multiple charges after authorities say she used an artificial intelligence-altered photo to falsely implicate her ex-boyfriend in a threat to carry out a school shooting. ————————— According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Riverview High School in Riverview, on Wednesday after school administrators received an email containing a screenshot of an Instagram post threatening a shooting at the campus. ————————— Investigators initially believed the threatening post appeared to have originated from a male student who attended the school. However, after interviewing the student, detectives determined that he was not responsible for the post. Authorities allege that the threat instead originated from the student’s 15-year-old ex-girlfriend, who previously attended Riverview High School. ————————— During an interview with detectives, the teenager reportedly admitted to sending the email to school administrators. Investigators said she knew the image attached to the email had been altered using artificial intelligence. ————————— The teen’s alleged actions led to multiple criminal charges, including written or electronic threat to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism, unlawful use of a two-way communications device, and disrupting a school campus or function. Thoughts?
Protesters in Japan gathered outside the US Embassy in Tokyo. Using loudspeakers, they shouted slogans in front of the building as police forces tried to prevent them from approaching the embassy. A new case of femicide involving a US Marine in Okinawa has renewed outrage among locals over the enormous US military presence in Japan. Protesters shouted "US out of Okinawa!" and "Free, free Okinawa!" They also held banners in solidarity with countries facing US imperialist aggression, including Iran, Palestine and Cuba. Okinawa hosts the largest concentration of US military forces in Japan. The country also hosts the largest overseas US military deployment in the world, with around 55,000 troops stationed there. Okinawa also bears a disproportionate share of the crimes that continue to make headlines. According to Okinawa Prefecture, US military bases were linked to 6,163 criminal cases between 1972 and 2022. Prime Minister Takaichi has vowed to strengthen Japan's military ties with the US as part of her unprecedented military buildup, marking the country's largest rearmament since World War II.
:’) 🥹♥️ A heart full of gratitude, a home full of blessings, and a soul that feels complete. But somewhere, my prayers are also for every woman in this world. With so many horrific incidents of sexual violence happening around us, I pray that every woman feels safe, protected, and free to live her life without fear. That no girl ever has to question her safety, that no woman has to live in fear, and that we raise a generation that knows how to respect, protect, and value women. I pray for a kinder, safer world, one where every girl can grow up feeling secure and every woman can live with dignity and freedom. Thank you, God, for everything we have. For the blessings seen and unseen, and for reminding me that the greatest wealth is the love and abundance we already have. 🧿 And please, let this world become a better place for all of us. ❤️🧿🙏🏻
