The family of 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras has identified her as the co-pilot who lost her life in Sunday’s Florida plane crash 🕊️ Nathalia earned her private pilot’s license at just 17, before she even had her driver’s license. Still a student at West Boca Raton High School, she was already working toward a future in aviation. By 20, she had logged 1,300 flight hours, according to her family. Her father was also a pilot, and her sister described flying as her greatest passion. She went on to become a flight instructor, with dreams of one day flying for a commercial airline. She was one of nine people aboard the Learjet 60 traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas when it crashed in Palm Beach County on November 1. There were no survivors. Investigators said Monday that the crew reported icing and turbulence before the crash, and evidence suggests parts of the aircraft may have separated before impact.
