Little gardening update / recap.
Due to the 9-week long drought between June and August with record temperatures and non-stop sunshine, it was an incredibly good year for peppers and tomatoes, es least until the rain set in mid August and brought late blight and invasions of Asian rice beetles which ruined the ~ 600 almost ripe tomatoes faster than you could harvest them. 😬
Potatoes in the potato tower eventually got the late blight, too, but I think I removed the stems in time, the tubers are looking fine. 😊
How has your garden year been so far?
